Paint Correction FAQs
Will paint correction remove all scratches?
No. It reduces safe, polishable defects. Deep scratches, chips and failing clear coat may remain because removing them would require unsafe clear coat removal or body repair.
Do you check the paint first?
Yes. The vehicle is inspected before commencing the service to make sure we are performing the correct and safe level of polishing.
Should I ceramic coat after correction?
Although not necessary, a ceramic coating is the perfect way to make sure the finish lasts longer and is easy to maintain. If you’re after durability and ease of maintenance a ceramic coating is the next logical step.
Is paint correction the same as cut and polish?
Cut and polish is a broad term. Paint correction is a more controlled process based on defect type, paint condition, pad choice, polish choice and safe improvement.
What’s the difference between a wax and paint correction?
A wax does not remove any swirls or scratches from your paint, it only hides very light swirls. Paint correction actually removes the swirls in your paint making a level and slick surface. This is what makes the paint glossier.
